Pete Returns to the Challenge

Pete landed his TIE Guardian for what seemed like the 14^th time in a couple weeks in the Challenge’s hangar bay.  He tossed his travel bag out of the hatch and followed it. 

As he got back into his corridor, he saw FA Plif.

“Hey Pete, I haven’t seen you in forever!  Where ya been?”

“Well, I’ve been here, but also just about every other system in the sector visiting friends and family and a few meetings.  It has been exhausting.  I’m ready to stick to this ship for a bit and catch up on the mountain of other things I’m sure I need to do now…”

“Well, glad to have you back, Pete, and good luck with that…”

News

Ok, well I’ve just finished a 3 weekend blitz of travel and should be able to stick around and spend more time on the TC on the weekends.  Unfortunately work hasn’t been too cooperative with my weekday time…

All MSE’s are done, but may have some medals to process, yet.  Thanks to Plif for converting us over to all spreadsheets!  It does make it easier. 

Congratulations to our two newest Commanders (rank) CM Steve Dermody and CM Darksith_99!  Well deserved promotions for both of you.

Also, please congratulate and thank LC Nile Rosenau on becoming the next Commander (position) of Theta Squadron!

On the sad side, we lost LT De Anggul and LT Kiba to the reserves.  We hope you all make it back to the fleet soon!

The Saturday evening TC vs RS MP night is now official, so show up at 7 pm EST/4 pm pacific for those matches and work towards a DFC!

TC folks are still meeting up on Thursdays, though we have changed the time to 8pm EST, 5PM Pacific.

BSF’s are due by Midnight GMT April 30^th. 

Rules:

Every month, there will be a full battle from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA) assigned.  Pilots will fly each battle that they choose and BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF email to Pete Mitchell.  If the pilot has earned a high score, BSF it and also send the pilot file to Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time.  Please also forward the BSF confirmation to Pete Mitchell as well. 

Each month the pilot with the highest score in each platform will earn 10 points.  The next highest score will earn 9, the next highest 8, then 7, then 6 and so on.  All submissions will earn at least 5 points.  Any mission high scores, will earn 1 bonus point, and any battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points.  High scores are determined at the time the BSF was submitted.  If a high score is beat by another pilot in the same competition that submitted after, both pilots will receive the bonus points.  If a pilot submits a BSF that would have been a high score, but was beat by another pilot that submitted before, no bonus points will be awarded to the second submission.  Points will accumulate for the year for more awards. 

Participation points will also be tallied by ship and squadron.  One point per battle flown.  Flying participants of top participating ships and squadrons will earn extra rewards. 

Awards:

Annual:

IS-PW/GW/SW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the year.  (at least 5 participants)

IS-GW/SW/BW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the year in each platform (at least 4 participants)

IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of squadrons with 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total participation points.

IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of ships with 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total participation points.

Monthly:

IS-GW/SW/BW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the month (at least 3 participants).

IS-SW/BW for 1^st and 2^nd in each platform (at least 2 participants).
