Big news in the TIE Corps is the start of Imperial Storm II...its turn 3 and we already have a battle:

Having barely finished solidifying their hold on the planet of Valkier, patrol fighters from TF Silver Saber picked up sensor contacts incoming from hyperspace. As these ships reverted to realspace, they were identified as belonging to the Flaming Arrow Fleet. Gravity wells on Interdictor Cruisers from both sides began to power up, the Fleet Commanders started relaying orders to their ships...

A battle, the first in Imperial Storm, has erupted over the bleak skies of Valkier!

Play has been suspended until this conflict has been resolved. All TACs for the teams involved are instructed to prepare the relevant XWA skirmish files for this battle ASAP. Send these to the TFA together with a brief explanation of the tactics to be employed by pilots. Also send these files to me (spellfire@btinternet.com).

This battle will take place on TUESDAY 3rd JULY at 11PM GMT / 6PM EST and in the IRC channel: #tiecorps

The channel will be moderated during this period as necessary.

Neither myself nor Admiral Havoc can stay for the entirety of the evening, so Admiral Zsinj has kindly offered to host the match in our place.

- Congratulations to LC E. Tarkin who has been selected as the new commander for Avenger Squadron. Being a veteran of the Squadron, we have high hopes that he'll be able to build the squadron back up to being truly Elite.

- Also worthy of mention are the crew of the ISD Subjugator. Having been recently opened, the ship is going from strength to strength, with two Squadrons now active: Nemesis and Talon.
