TCCOM Report # 0 (2001-04-22)

This report was submitted by FA Priyum Patel

Greetings all, and welcome to this week's Flight Office report.

It's been fairly busy for a lot of people this past week...

- Work on Imperial Storm II continues. A decision on the Fleets was reached. In the end, we decided that there would be 3 Teams instead of 2 like last time. The Teams are:
Team I : TFA Kramer
Team II: TFA Jarak
Team III: TFAs Cyric & Firefox.

Jarak and Kramer have been given the opportunity to pick one more TFA each, so if you're interested in the position let them know (a TFA is responsible for deciding on overall Fleet movements etc).

Also, each side would not use Ships from the Fleet Order of Battle, but instead would be allocated points, and allowed to 'buy' their own ships and fighters using the points system from XWA. The idea behind this was to avoid the problem of Fleets that weren't balanced. Limitations have been imposed to stop the TFAs from picking fleets of TIE Defenders or Missile Boats. Also, it adds a new level to the game in that the other sides won't know the composition of the enemy fleets until they engage them, or they send out probe droids.
Additionally, the map has been changed from last time. Rather than having a number of planets linked by hyperspace lanes, the map will be made up of grids, and travel will be conducted via a co-ordinate system.
Its all shaping up to be very interesting. More information, and a start date will be released soon.

- The Battlegroups saw some Command changes: COM/VA Corran Force resigned to take up a Flight Member's position in Tornado. Promoted to replace him was Rear Admiral Manitsas. His first act COM was to appoint General Darklord as the new Wing X CMDR. Darklord is a familiar face onboard the Challenged, since he held the very same position not very long ago...congratulations to both Officers.

- Congratulations also to LCM Michael of Crusader Squadron who was declared as this month's BGCOM Intimidator by Vice Admiral Cyric (the ASF's version of the BGCOM's Own).

- Several veterans returned to active service over the past several days: Welcome back to COLs Kessler and Striker who have transferred to Tornado. Also we welcome back High Admiral 'Pappy' Renegade to active service. Those with nothing better to do may notice that there are already three HAs in active service, but due to Renegade's reputation and past service to the EH, the Fleet Commander has made an exception!

- Several EH Meetings are being planned for over the summer (as taken from the TC news page):

Emperor's Hammer Summer Bash! (w00t!)
Will you be in England on Friday 27th July through to Sunday 29th? If you are, you are invited to the Emperor's Hammer Summer Bash/BBQ in Brighton. Brighton is in the South-East corner of England along the southcoast. It's a fairly big city, with an exciting nightlife and a load of shops for all your shopping needs. I'm co-organising the whole event with Colonel Mairin and Fleet Admiral Priyum Patel. If you are American/Canadian/European, and would like to come and join in the fun, we suggest you go and have a look at http://www.buzzaway.com, http://www.ryanair.com and http://www.easyjet.com for really cheap flights inbound to the UK. We will be booking the accommodation in Brighton very soon, so if possible, please mail guyquake@btinternet.com and mairin@isdchallenge.org if you can come.

EH Poland Meeting Reminder
I'm here to remind you about the upcoming EH Poland meeting. Only 2 months left! I encourage all of you who can to participate in this meeting. We'll sing and drink, drink and sing. I'll be there, my squad too...will you?
Would you like to know more? Email Major Marcin Szydlowski or catch him on irc: MAJ_Mike.
The EH Invades St. Louis!
Wow, Poland and England are having EH meetings, well, how bout one in America too?! This one is going to take place in St. Louis, MO this July and is being coordinated by myself and LC Joe (Wing VI). For more information, check out http://ehstlmeet.ehonline.org/

- Vice Admiral Wet Willy, in addition to planning the St. Louis meeting, has been appointed by GA Ronin as the new Combat Operations Officer...

Musicmusicmusic...

Last week's song was "This Love" by Craig Armstrong and Liz Frazer (who rocks). It was also featured on the soundtrack of Cruel Intentions. This week's lyrics are:

Don't try to beat them up,
Just call them all aboard.
Cos when your bark is gone your gonna take them all head on,
You faith is running low,
Its too bad you'll never know.
But don't be a fool again,
Cos they're just hooligans.
Don't try to save them all,
Just try and break their fall.
You want to live among,
So don't try and right their wrongs.
Bad news is twice around,
the world when good is found.
But don't be a fool again,
Cos they're just hooligans.
Don't try and lead the race,
Like its a life you've saved.
Cos you're in my face,
like you are from outer space.
And though you make 'em laugh,
It wont beat the smile you have.
But don't be a fool again,
Cos they're just hooligans.

Have a go if you think you're 'ard enough...:P

Respectfully,

Fleet Admiral Priyum
Flight Officer, TIE Corps Commander
