News -
- General Devin, Commander of the Elite Omega Squadron, has announced his forthcoming retirement after a long and honourable stint as CMDR. This won't be in effect until a new CMDR is found, but as far as I know, applications are NOT being accepted. I'd like to thank Devin for all the tremendous amount of work he put into the job, and his presence will be missed.
- Whilst on the subject, CPT Loor recently resigned as the Commander of the Elite Praetorian Squadron. His successor is already in place, congratulations go out to Major Shadd!
- Lieutenant Colonel Enahropes has resigned as the Wing Commander of Wing XIX onboard the Avenger. Applications are NOT being accepted, a new WC will be in place within a few days.
- The TIE Corps' Battlecry issue #2 is soon to be released by Captain Werdna Elbee (werdna_elbee@lycos.co.uk) and he is still looking for submissions. Best graphic and fiction submissions will earn the Iron Star - Gold Ribbon, so get your work (zipped!) in ASAP!
- For his continued hard work as Wing Commander of Wing XVIII, LC Fenn Logan was promoted to the rank of Colonel earlier this week. Congrats Fenn!
- A couple of general points:
- When making a name change request, you must also provide a legitimate reason. "Because people make fun of me" is not a reason. Ranthier Khaen.
- Do NOT use the removal form on the database as a transfer request form.
- When making a promotion request, please remember that time spent in current rank is not the only factor. Alongside activity, the time spent in the current POSITION is also important. Someone that's been a LCM for 23 years, but Flight Leader for only 2 weeks, cannot be promoted to Commander.
- When taking the SM/3 course (http://www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/sm.html) (will be marked soon!), do not simply take a report off eh.net and copy it. Those that do will fail.
