TCCOM Report # 0 (2003-01-21)

This report was submitted by FA Priyum Patel

Greetings all and welcome to the latest report from the Flight Office...

News -

The Dark Sentinel - Emperor's Hammer Newsletter (Current Issue)

The recent issue of the EH's Official Newsletter has seen a woeful lack of submissions given the number of members in the EH. In particular the TIE Corps had a poor showing. Given that we are one of the biggest (and best) groups within the EH, we should really be dominating this publication. It's a chance to showcase your writing & graphical skills to the rest of the Emperor's Hammer. It's a chance to get some recognition outside of the TIE Corps. Almost anything may be submitted to the Sentinel...editorials, articles, interviews, images, fiction etc etc. Any form of activity like this that you'd normally send to your Squadron Commander should routinely be sent in the the NL. CMDRs: If your pilots are not doing this, then there's no reason why you can't submit it on their behalf.

Submittors will receive the Letter Of Achievement. Submitting to the Newsletter also counts as qualification for a promotion from Sub-Lieutenant to Lieutenant. Please make the effort and start sending things to the NL. The Fleet Commander has put a recent ban on all publications except for Subgroup NLs. Since the TIE Corps no longer has it's own publication, the Sentinel is the only thing we have - make it count.

All submissions should be sent to the Executive Officer and follow the guidelines detailed here.

TIE Corps Training Board (http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=115)

We have a new training board located as the address above. This forum is for Cadets to ask questions pertinent to their training, and for members of the Corps to offer general help.

Note: This is a TIE Corps board, not a general EH one. All the usual rules apply and it is being moderated by my Assistant, General Jahan "Badass" Kalar.

Relentless Commodore Open To Applications

The details on this were posted on the TC news page a few days ago, but for convenience:

The position of Relentless Commodore in the TIE Corps Battlegroups is still open to applications with the following requirements:

  • Absolute familiarity with Fleet Manuals and the Fleet Standing Orders
  • No serious AoW convictions, and none within the past 12 months
  • Command experience at a Wing Commander level or above, for no less than 4 consecutive months. Squadron Commanders will only be considered with 3 excellent references from superior Officers
  • Familiarity with Single and Multiplayer aspects of X-Wing: Alliance
  • Email response time of 24-36 hours.
  • Everything else detailed in the Training Manual

Applicants must possess the drive and motivation to work towards stabilizing the ship, plan future activities and work with fellow Flag Officers in the Battlegroup. The position of Commodore is not to be underestimated. If you have any doubts as to your suitability for the position, then don't waste our time by applying. Applications should be sent to Vice Admiral Krax and Fleet Admiral Priyum with the subject RelCOM. You may include up to 3 references, two of which must be from current or former superiors. Ensure that you have their permission before listing them.

TIE Corps Banner Design Competition

This is still going on and submissions will be accepted until Saturday. Any submissions should be sent zipped to spellfire@btinternet.com with TC Banner as the email's subject.
Remember that any submissions (whether they win or not) can also be submitted to the Newsletter.

As always, day to day news can be found on the TIE Corps news page.

Respectfully,

Fleet Admiral Priyum
Flight Officer & TIE Corps Commander
